Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Audible Goods about your use of Saturn Sound Printer (“Saturn”). By activating a product key you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not activate Saturn.

1. Your licence

When you buy Saturn you receive a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to use it for your own music, including commercial music. You may not resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute Saturn or your product key, or copy, modify or reverse‑engineer Saturn except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.

2. Who can use Saturn

You must be at least 13 years old to use Saturn. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must read and agree to these terms on your behalf, and is responsible for your use of Saturn.

3. Product keys

Your product key is for you. Do not share or publish it. Your key is stored only in the browser where you enter it, and clearing that browser’s site data removes it, so keep your purchase email. We may deactivate a key that has been shared, published or obtained without paying for it.

4. Purchases and refunds

Refunds are handled as described at the point of purchase. If you are unhappy with Saturn, contact us through audiblegoods.com.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Saturn to create or distribute content that is unlawful, or that promotes hatred, violence or discrimination against people because of who they are; that harasses, threatens or exploits anyone, including sexual content involving minors; or that infringes someone else’s copyright or other rights. You are responsible for what you record and export, and for having the rights to any material you bring into Saturn. We may deactivate the key of anyone who uses Saturn this way.

6. What you make is yours

You own the recordings, mixes, masters and projects you make with Saturn. We claim no rights in them.

7. Your data stays with you

Saturn runs in your browser. Your songs and recordings are saved in that browser’s storage and in any project files you choose to save. None of it is uploaded to us. You are responsible for keeping copies of your work: browser storage can be cleared by you, by the browser, or when your device runs short of space, and we cannot recover it.

8. Signed exports

Each WAV file Saturn exports carries a signed block that records that it came from Saturn, the song and track name, the kind of export, when it was exported, and a fingerprint of the audio. That information travels with the file wherever you send it. The signature is strong evidence that a file came out of Saturn unaltered, not proof: it cannot show who made the music.

9. Updates and changes

We may update Saturn, change its features, or change these terms. When the terms change, Saturn will ask you to agree to the new version.

10. No warranty

Saturn is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be free of errors, work with every browser, device or audio interface, or never lose data.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Audible Goods is not liable for lost recordings, lost data, lost profits or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Saturn. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

12. Ending this agreement

You may stop using Saturn at any time. If you break these terms, your licence ends and we may deactivate your key. Sections 6, 7, 10 and 11 continue after the licence ends.

Monitoring Use your interface's direct monitoring instead if you have it. Switches itself off if feedback is detected.

Recordings are shifted back automatically to line up with what you heard, so overdubs sit where they were played.

The offset shifts recordings earlier to line them up with what you heard. The figure above is the browser’s estimate until you replace it: type over it, or press Calibrate and let Saturn measure it against a few “sh” sounds. If overdubs still feel a touch late, raise it; if they land early, lower it — the same manual offset Reaper, Ableton and Logic all provide.

Calibrate

Four soft count‑in beats, then eight clicks. Say “sh” on every one of the eight — short and sharp, like a hi‑hat. Saturn finds where each answer landed and averages the difference.

Wear headphones. This measures the trip out to your ears and back in through the microphone, so the click should not reach the microphone any other way.
